The remote control vehicle stopping feature will do the following:

Pursuit Elimination
P-CEL can stop any police pursuit in less than ten seconds with no damage to the target vehicle. Nobody gets hurt and speeds need not reach dangerous levels. See our video for details.

Border Crossing, Roadblock, Checkpoint Control
P-CEL can stop any run-through attempt immediately with no danger to anyone.

Car Bomb Interdiction
P-CEL can isolate and stop, by remote control, any vehicle suspected of carrying explosives or weapons. It can then be approached and inspected in a controlled environment. Suspected car bombs can be stopped by remote control before they are able to reach their targets. Any unauthorized vehicle approaching a restricted area can be stopped and denied entry.

Some jurisdictions may decide to limit police powers by:

Issuing controllers with vehicle stopping capability only to specially trained officers, supervisors, SWAT teams or helicopter crews for special operations. Officers engaging in a pursuit would have to call ahead to request interception.

Using controllers only for special operations under authority of a court order.

Installing simple P-CEL transmitters in police cruisers so that they can only alert traffic at accident scenes or when operating as an emergency vehicle. There would be no pursuit termination capability.
